In short, we believe so. We have boots on the ground actively monitoring the situation. We also have lots of friends guiding all over Jordan and former customers coming and going reporting no changes that would impact our tours. Because of the fluid situation in the Middle East at the moment, we are going to make all of our deposits on this and tour S102 fully refundable if you change your mind up to 12 weeks before departure.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Aqaba
Day 2: After a stroll along the seafront and a trip to the fort to explore Aqaba’s role in the Arab Revolt, we continue our journey by relocating to Wadi Rum. In the afternoon we will arrive at our fixed camp and set off on a walk to admire the stunning scenery.
Day 3-4: Join us for a number of walking/jeep tours in the footsteps of T.E. Lawrence and the Arab Revolt in Wadi Rum, setting for smash hit films such as Star Wars and The Martian.
Day 5: On leaving the desert, we spend the rest of the day exploring the Hejaz Railway and the history of the Arab Revolt. Our day includes a visit to see original carriages employed on the railway during the war. In the evening we will reach Wadi Musa, adjacent to Petra.
Day 6: No visit to Jordan would be complete without a trip to Petra, one of the seven wonders of the world. Our local guide will lead a thorough exploration of the site during a full day tour.
Day 7: After a free morning, we journey to Shobak Castle to explore Lawrence’s obsession with the crusades. We then travel on to the site of a crucial battle in 1917 before we return to Aqaba, where we enjoy a farewell dinner and a night on the town.
Day 8: Before our departure, we enjoy a glass-bottom boat tour on the Red Sea, and a stroll around Aqaba’s traditional Arab souk with our local guide. In the evening we fly home.

Alex has been exploring Jordan and the Arab Revolt since 2017. She is desperate to show as many people as possible all that Jordan has to offer, including hard-to-reach locations on the Hejaz Railway. She's also obsessed with telling everyone that the Arab Revolt doesn't begin and end with Lawrence of Arabia, so get ready to hear all about the Arab perspective and all the other Europeans that took part in this sideshow of the Great War.
Mohammed was born and raised on Petra's doorstep. A history graduate, he loves nothing more than introducing people to his country and teaching them about Jordan's rich history. You can expect everything from ancient Nabateans, to Bedouin folklore, to the Arab Revolt from him, as well as all kinds information about your tour destinations and Jordanian culture.
Our tour manager Owen cannot stop going back to Jordan. He loves the place so much that he's got the outfit, the headwear, a few words of Arabic and has been adopted by the Bedouin. He can't wait to share his love of the country and its history with as many people as possible.
